(7 rinses | spit) [19 Aug 2006|12:33am] I feel a bit better. I left for my break just before 11 and had to be back in the unit just before midnight. I knew that Gunnar Hansen was playing at Jimmy's store (Reigning Sound) tonight, so I jumped in my car and zoomed off, through Hess Village and across King to pull up right in front of Jimmy's to find a pretty drunk Brett & Stef hanging out front. "Heeey!!" Stef said, reaching into my car for a hug and unneccissarily informing me that she was blasted. All of my friends are cheerful-as-hell drunks. Stef went inside to go find Nate and I was soon surrounded by Brian, Rudy, Brett, Stef, Nate, Grant, Dan and Chris Ainsley! I haven't seen Chris in over a year. He's visiting from Vancouver right now and looks to be doing really well. I got to visit with some other friends, standing around outside on the sidewalk in front of my illegally parked car. After 40 minutes or so I started to get nervous about the time because I still had to get something to eat before I headed back to the hospital. I made plans with Brian and Rudy to do some photos soon and to go to their house for dinner on Monday or Tuesday with our whole crew of friends. I think I might bring the Panang Chicken Curry that Brian&Rudy taught me to make. Things are so quiet here at work tonight that I'm going out of my mind. At least I remembered to bring a book to read tonight.
